If we negate (D), we get: A poem can be objectively evaluated even without talking about its aesthetic value.

Basically, this negation would make all this stuff about figuring out the aesthetic value meaningless since that VALUE would not be necessary to OBJECTIVELY VALUE a poem, which is the goal.
